It was all seasons in one for this week’s run. The morning started off dark and chilly, then we got a peak of the sun, then we got caught in a sleet shower!
But with the extremes of weather out of the way, it was otherwise good conditions for a good slog. I even managed to somehow knock 60 seconds off my PB (don’t ask me how)!
Overall 387 people ran, jogged, jeffed or walked the course – that’s a massive reduction since January – maybe those new year’s resolutions are just becoming distant memories?
There were 30 first timers and 73 new personal bests!
Congratulations to Oliver Horne (MedwayTri) who took first place in 17:39 (a new PB) and to Abigail Jordon, first female in 22:51.
As always, full results are available on the Great Lines Parkrun website.
Parkrun is a free, weekly 5k, for people of all abilities. There’s no time to achieve, and you can walk, jog or run. It takes place every Saturday at 9:00am.
